Rapper DMX will reportedly step into the ring with George Zimmerman. Celebrity boxing promoter Damon Feldman tells TMZ.com that the rapper was chosen from a pool of 15,000 applicants who wanted to lace up the boxing gloves against the man who was acquitted of murdering Florida teen Trayvon Martin.
The boxing match will last three rounds, and the details will be announced next Wednesday. DMX previously vowed to break "every rule in boxing" if he got the chance to go toe-to-toe with George Zimmerman.
George Zimmerman was charged with second-degree murder for shooting and killing the 17-year-old Martin in 2012. The trial gained national attention over allegations that Zimmerman had profiled Martin before shooting him. Last July, a jury found Zimmerman not guilt of second-degree murder and manslaughter.
